homeostase is a Portuguese Information Technology company, created with the mission of providing services through specialized tools. The areas of intervention of the tools we represent include Big Data, Cybersecurity and Observability.

It was founded by Engineer Rui Aires and has a small (large) team — Diogo Silva, Gonçalo Coelho, Rui Aires e Paulo Costa. A team passionate about Complex Data projects.

What do we want?

With a focus on cybersecurity, DevOps and observability and IT management, our main objective is to help and guide our customers on their data journey.

Our name (homeostase) comes from human biology, it is the internal mechanism that keeps our body in balance.

The name “homeostase” is a term that refers to the state of dynamic equilibrium that living organisms seek to maintain internally. Thus, applying the same concept to IT systems, data serves to have information that allows these systems to maintain a dynamic equilibrium:

• monitoring and regulating factors such as performance, availability and security;
• ensuring stability and efficiency.

In fact, we want our customers to gain resilience in their systems and reuse resources. After all, the same data serves multiple purposes.

We have been partners with Splunk since 2009 and our main strategy is to be experts in the Splunk product portfolio.

Tools like Splunk allow you to serve multiple purposes and obtain value from data, in real time, and move towards an integrated vision for security (digital and human), systems and operations, business, marketing and, ultimately, corporate strategy.

Since 2018, we have been the first and only partner of Sonatype — a global company dedicated to ensuring the security of open source software.

We decided to explore other products, to diversify our offer, always focusing on being the first to represent solutions in Portugal.

Therefore, we consider Sonatype products to be essential, as they allow for innovation in software security, better and safer for programmers.

With digital transformation accelerating, cyber threats have been growing and cybersecurity has become an essential topic today.
